LOS ANGELES, August 22, 2017 – The Starbucks Foundation has awarded Hillsides, a Southern California foster care charity, a $30,000 grant for its Youth Moving On (YMO) workforce development program for transition-aged youth 16-25.  The funds will be used to support workforce development services including community service and outreach efforts to help youth gain the necessary skills needed to prepare for employment.

LOS ANGELES, August 18, 2017 – On August 30, Leesa, an online direct-to-consumer luxury mattress company, will hold a donation event for Hillsides, a Southern California foster care charity. The company will give away 111 mattresses at the site of Hillsides’ Youth Moving On program in Pasadena, which serves youth transitioning from foster care to adulthood.

LOS ANGELES,  July 7, 2017 -  Hillsides guests attended the agency’s annual Farm to Table dinner at the private Pasadena estate of Jim and Chelisa Vagim, which raised nearly $20,000. Set in resort-like grounds and a private lake, the estate overlooked the San Gabriel Valley with stunning views for all guests to enjoy the summer evening.

LOS ANGELES, June 13, 2017 – Hillsides, a Southern California foster care charity, has been approved as an Association of Social Work Boards Approved Continuing Education (ACE) provider. The approval shows that Hillsides has met rigorous standards and demonstrated the ability to offer high-quality continuing education activities to licensed clinical social workers and licensed marriage and family therapists.  The approval process was rigorous, taking nine months.

  CONTACT:Alison Bellabell2@hillsides.org626-390-1640  LOS ANGELES, May 30, 2017 – Hillsides, a Southern California foster care charity, is hosting its eighth   annual Farm to Table dinner on June 25 in Pasadena.  This outdoor event features local farm-fresh cocktails and fare at a private estate in Pasadena, Ca.  Noted restaurateur Claud Beltran, owner of the Pasadena restaurants the Eatery and Bacchus’ Kitchen, will serve as chef for the evening.  A steel drum musician will be on hand to serenade guests.
